I recommend the 14-day trial. You’ll need to enter in a lot of the basics about yourself, including a username and password for your account.
Once you’ve done this, it’s time to optimize your account. You want to receive money from customers, so you’ll need to add a payment option to your account. You’ll want to follow these steps:
- Enter the “settings’ page
- Click “payments”
- Add payment information
I recommend adding a Paypal account because everyone uses Paypal. After this, you’ll want to click on the “checkout” tab and then enter in your store policies. What’s awesome is that Shopify provides a button you can click to generate policies in seconds.
Now, find the shipping tab and choose your shipping rates. You can set the shipping to be free, and this is what a lot of people do. Consumers expect free shipping, so make sure that you charge more for your product to account for shipping costs.
Finally, you’ll be on your way to launching your store.
Click “Sales Channels” in your settings tab and you can then click “add an online store.” Your store will now be up and running, so what do you do now? I recommend designing your store and making sure it looks professional.

Oberlo should now be added to your store. This is easy to do, and all you need to do is install the Oberlo app off of your Shopify store. This is a simple process, and it will take just seconds to get started.
Once installed, you’ll want to create a category.
I’ll choose grooming products.
Enter your Oberlo app, search for products and add them into your new category.
Bam. You have an online store up and running with real products that you’re now selling to the world.
Promoting Your New Store and Making Sales
You have countless options when trying to promote your products and make a sale. I recommend using any outlet that you have at your disposal to make your first sale. Making money becomes an addiction – trust me.
If you have a website, make a link on your menu promoting the items that you sell.
You also have the option to sell your products through:
- Paid advertising
- Social media
- Organic search traffic
If you follow the steps above and don’t play around, you’ll be able to get a store up and running in 30 minutes. The hard part is making sales, and this means networking, promoting through paid advertising and using your website to lure in leads.
